g Targetting Device

Any chancee you can make it so we get the targeting device from Light Artillery instead of normal, so we can aim the light artillery like the large ones?

Some people think this mod is too powerful, and others not powerful enough. I think for balance, I'll keep the default as is.

That said, if you are interested I do accept pull requests ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป and I would welcome a configuration setting that allows toggling a targeting device for this mod. ๐Ÿค—

Thank you for the feedback ๐Ÿงก

Can you make this mod work with the Rampant Arsenal Fork's "Light Artillery" remote? Or just please add an option to allow the remote to be toggled? Artillery used to be a standard early game thing and I don't know why they changed it.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You want me to fix their mod? ๐Ÿ˜•

No? I want to know if you'd be willing to make your mod work with their mod. I just think this whole auto targeting only is weird. I'd much rather be only able to shoot manually since that's more realistic and less OP. With your mod the way it is I can just set an army of these up and let them decimate the enemies in all directions. Set and forget for the most part.

Thanks for clarifying, Mattheodric! Let me share a bit of the "why" behind the current design.

First, as someone who automates things for a living, I naturally lean towards automated solutions. I actually really enjoy the "set and forget" aspect of it!

Second, my approach to modding is centered around adding or changing mechanics and behaviors. If Light Artillery had a remote, it would function almost exactly like the base game's artillery, just with different numbers (range, damage, cost). To me, simply making numbers go up or down isn't as interesting. I prefer maintaining distinct mechanical differences between the different tiers.

That being said, I completely understand that everyone enjoys different playstyles. I would be more than happy to accept a clean, well-written Pull Request that adds a remote option, provided it's hidden behind a configuration setting and defaults to "off".

Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback! ๐Ÿงก
