🌐 Enable Planet Mods Lite

by Kryzeth

A more streamlined, Lite version of Enable All Planet Mods, removing several planet mods which either warped the early game too much, or simply did not add enough unique content for the mid to late game. A more playability-focused planet pack. 🌐

b [Not a Bug] Pelagos/Maraxis + Water Refining error on load

Failed to load mods: Error while loading item prototype "dirty-water-barrel" (item): Must have a fuel_value when fuel_acceleration_multiplier, fuel_top_speed_multiplier, fuel_emissions_multiplier, or fuel_glow_color are used.
Modifications: Base mod › Maraxsis › Barreling Group

barreling-group2 (0.5.0) is a dependency of Pelagos.
Pelagos and Maraxis are dependencies of Enable Planet Mods Lite.
Pelagos and Maraxis are incompatible.

Actually, I was wrong. Both mods are incompatible with https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Water-refining

Might be worth marking Water Refining as an incompatibility with this mod as this mod uses both those mods?

If the planets themselves are incompatible with another mod, then it would make more sense to tell the mod authors of those mods first, to see if they can add compatibility (or mark it incompatible from their end) instead of asking me to add an unnecessary incompatibility to my mod.

It's entirely possible that a more helpful user later reports the issue to the mod authors in question, and they end up fixing the issue, and thus my marked incompatibility would cause more issues than it solves.

I did report both on their respective githubs. I think calling me an unhelpful user isn't very nice. I will discontinue making reports if you would prefer.

I'm sorry for implying that you were being an unhelpful user, but (this is more directed towards the other post), it's not entirely helpful to simply state that something doesn't work, without providing any details or any other information.

Even if the issue were an easily reproducible one (which it wasn't, in that case), providing the error message at the bare minimum gives me an idea about what to look for while trying to fix the issue, but without it, I'm just going in blind.

And as for this specific report, I've received numerous reports about potential incompatibilities with the planets contained in the pack, but as a third-party modpack, I have no responsibility to address those issues; I can't fix them and marking them as incompatible would merely obfuscate the issue. This is not the first time I've had to direct people to report these issues to the mod authors in question (and it's unlikely to be the last either)

As for the external reports, I don't use github, so I wouldn't have known to check there for any other bug reports. I only noticed the lack of reports on the mod portal, and seeing the report you did leave on Omni's discussion threads gave me even less reason to check external sources.

I did report both on their respective githubs

I also do wonder why you mention "both", when there are four mods involved? Pelagos, Maraxsis, Barreling Group, and Water Refining itself should all be looked at, with Water Refining getting the most scrutiny of them all, as it appears to be the common denominator for the issue, is the most recently released, and the most likely to be in need of a fix, rather than the planet mods or the relatively simple Barreling Group mod.
