Will the mod pack, or any specific mods, not work if installed and run on an already existing world that hasn't gone to space?

It should be perfectly safe to drop in the modpack, especially if you haven't gone to space yet. I don't believe any nauvis-based technologies or recipes are changed with the Lite version of this pack. I can't guarantee compatibility with non-Nauvis starts (if used with Any Planet Start or Planet Picker or any other similar mod)

There may be some minor discrepancies if you have one of the following mods and their technologies researched: Cargo Ships, Pirateship, Lex's Aircraft, Big Accumulator, Big Solar Panel, Better Substation, Elevated Pipes, Solar Matrix, Robocharger, Flare Stack, SE Space Trains, or Fluid Must Flow. This is because all of these mods are technically available standalone and can be unlocked on nauvis, but are siphoned away and locked behind certain planets that require/rely on them (like Cargo Ships on Pelagos, Big Accumulator/Solar and Better Substation on Moshine, etc)

Even in those cases, the only discrepancy is that you will have access to those items/recipes before you are supposed to. That shouldn't really harm anything, whether or not you take advantage of the earlier access to those items/recipes.

Assuming you are coming from a mostly vanilla playthrough, you should be golden.
