g Bunker FOV

2 years ago

the FOV/"field of fire" on the turret bunker feels very narrow. It should be at least 90 degrees and extend further out.

This is going off how many potential fire positions there are on the bunker model, where the front windows cover everything in front, and the door windows are additional shooting positions to the sides.

The problem is that the turret then wont be rotatable but only flipable from up to bottom and from left to right. Thats why I made it narrow, so that you can rotate it.

No, I mean like this:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2550407601

attack_parameters =
        {
            type = "projectile",
            ammo_category = "bullet",
            cooldown = 4,
            turn_range = 1/2,
            movement_slow_down_factor = 0.7,
            projectile_creation_distance = 4.4,
            projectile_center = {0, 0},
            range = 35,
            sound = sounds.heavy_gunshot,
        },

EDIT: so never mind, it looks like doing it this way will cause the model to rotate 90 degrees at a time trying to face the enemy

Oh yeah, that was the even bigger problem I was facing.

the flamethrower turret's base has no problem staying in place when firing at the enemy, can the graphic be made to behave as the base of the flamethrower turret?

2 years ago

its the same with the flamethrower, it has such a narrow arc that it always will stay in place anyway
