b Train ignores Speed Limit

1 year, 3 days ago

Hi.
For some reason, my trains are ignoring the maximum speed I've set. Or, to be more precise, they see that there's a speed limit somewhere along their route and then travel the entire route at the lowest speed permitted in some areas. It would be great if the trains didn't travel that slowly the entire time, but only in the area where they're supposed to.

Hi, just checking, is this happening the first time a train goes across the route, or after the first time? Trains remember the speed limit they had between paths, so if one path sets a low speed limit and they never go past a faster speed limit again (or don't see it on their route somehow) then they'll continue to go at the slow speed. If you want them to speed up again, you need to put another speed limit sign that the train will go past, with a higher speed limit.

I hope this helps!

Firstly, I set a speed signal of 50000 at the "exit" of my base and another one directly after the stop from where it is supposed to collect. And yet the train travels from the stop where it is supposed to load all the way to the "entrance" of the base at reduced speed.

I have noticed this happening for me as well. I set the speed limit entering the base area to 40kph and to 400kph when exiting and the trains just stay at 40kph even after exiting the base and going past the 400kph limit signal.

I have also noticed an issue with trains sometimes obeying, but the majority of the time continuing at full speed

I did some minor testing, and it appears that if the train comes to a full stop it will obey the speed limit that it stopped in front of. But if the signal is green it seems to ignore it.
I'd love for this to be fixed, speed limits in factories are great
