If the setting 'number of killers to group for an attack' is lower than the available killers, all the killers will be stuck in dark green/dark red state. With debug option it is constant 0 checks per minute. Changing the option to be less or equal to available killers 'unstucks' the killers.
(In my case 3 killers, setting value 5 - group was formed and stuck, setting value 3 - group immediately go to approach.)
I suppose it is like that to prevent snowball effect of loosing spidertrons faster and faster with each attack, nevertheless I put it out here to maybe help others debug their issues quicker.
