This would likely work best as a separate mod, similar to how this one works: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/flow-control-expanded-bob
I'm not actively developing this mod anymore, so I probably won't find time to create a Flow Control compatibility mod, but I think anyone could do it, and I would love to see it done.
