Recycling in general does not work. I tested a very simple case: iron gear recycling + yellow magazine. Helmod just sees the recycler as a void for iron gear wheels, and will not count it. I tried to get an import string for the production line, but that shows blank now too lol.
Another recycler issue: Helmod only shows recycler recipes when "show hidden" is enabled, but then it also has some bad recipes in there. The most confusing one is "copper wire", which is for the copper wire used for electrical grid, and NOT copper cable recycling. I had to double check that the copper cable recipe I chose was not the useless copper wire recipe. There are also weird recipes for many things that can't be recycled, like "Parameter 7", "Green Wire", "unknown item", "cut paste tool"... It would be good to remove those, and potentially sort the giant chaotic mass of recycler recipes somehow.
