Create a file data-updates.lua and put this (or similar) code in it: https://pastebin.com/4LMqM2pB
This will remove the ability to install coils in the other machines

In the same data-updates.lua file, I recommend adding this code: https://pastebin.com/8uqQj6vY, and from your entity.lua file remove the base electric furnace modification. I use the mod build and have several tiers of electric furnaces.
The code at the link will add coil support to all furnaces, which previously could be inserted modules. If there are any questions - you can write to me in Telegram (@dmitry_krypt0n), I will help you with advice. I can also help with the localization of the mod in Russian

Oh I just got around to the furnace and coil techs and put some in my pumpjacks (obviously preheating the oil will help refine it better, it's science trust me)

On a side note I do have a feeling that there really is no reason to not use copper plastic coils right now though, since it's productivity

On another side note a module and machine overhaul which makes it so every machine needs specialized bits and pieces to run would be pretty interesting if done right

the only other place i can see coils really working would be refineries? i might make that a mod setting, im not sure - but it wasn’t an intended mechanic lmao

and eh? i knew i needed a productivity coil, but i did want to see the general reaction of how strong/weak all coils are, for the balance of this mod and for the balance of PM
and i definitely would like to have a addon that adds bits for every/most building, but it’d be a lot of work and would definitely require some thought behind it due to the “lack of variety” in vanilla, compared to overhauls :]
