Seems like you tried to deselect the bots before having selected any.
I'll release a fix soon so it does not make the game crash.

Can you explain me what I did wrong? I tried several times and each gave me a crash - sadly. I really like this!

When you hold shift while selecting it counts as deselecting instead. You did this before making any group which caused the crash. The new update should have resolved this crash. If you want to select don't use shift otherwise it won't make the group!
