Make sure to place your fire places in the middle of a forest! There's a 20% chance that a "fire-flame-on-tree" will be created on top of the fire place, and I guess this prototype will try to spawn new fires in its vicinity.

Does it Really Keep Bitters and such Zoo Swarms away?

I didn't see anything about that in the code. Not sure about the "fire-flame-on-tree", though. Will that spread only to trees, or to other entities as well?

As the name suggests, "fire-flame-on-tree" sets only trees on fire. But fire has its own damage type, which affects all living creatures ;)
