Seems like the range only applies to newly placed objects?
A keybind to scan current surface for affected objects, and adjust the range in consequence, would be a nice addition :)

Hmm, this should not be the case. I am changing the actual prototypes rather than adding copies. Any issues with newly placed objects is likely a bug, or caused by another mod.
The same thing is happening to me, I suspect that maybe the game has some kind of optimization that means it calculates the tiles that are under its effect only once upon placement and then caches the result.
