This mod contains and integrates HD textures for the elevated rails from the Space Age DLC.
Small changes concerning balance, gameplay, or graphics.
Trains are great, but what if they could do even more?
Hello,
I have all the HD Age mods installed, however with this one activated my elevated rails have a yellow tint underneath them.
I created a new game with just this mod (and space age + elevated rails) activated and still have this issue.
Hello,
that's strange, I definitely didn't set a tint layer and nothing like that happened in my tests. Can you please tell me what system (Windows, Linux or Mac) you are playing on and what graphics card you have in your system. If you have an Nvidia card, I would also be interested in the driver version.
I am running this on a 14 inch M2 MacBook Pro.
I just upgraded to Sequoia, but it was happening on Sonoma as well.
Here is the output from my system report:
Chipset Model: Apple M2 Max
Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
Total Number of Cores: 30
Vendor: Apple (0x106b)
Metal Support: Metal 3
Displays:
Color LCD:
Display Type: Built-in Liquid Retina XDR Display
Resolution: 3024 x 1964 Retina
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Automatically Adjust Brightness: Yes
Connection Type: Internal
That makes things a lot more complicated because I can't recreate it. The first thing that comes to my mind is that Mac only works with OpenGL and not with DirectX11 or 12.
Could you please start the game once, open the savegame with which you created the screnschots, then close everything again. After that you will find under
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Factorio/factorio.app/Contents/Applications/factorio.app/Contents
or
~/Library/Application Support/factorio
the factorio-current.log file which you then link here please.

Please let me know if this bug still exists, I just updated a lot of mods including the elevated rails.
Unfortunately the yellow still exists when the mod is enabled.
Do you know a little bit about programming, and would you trust yourself to change a few things in my files to find out what the problem is?
I have gone into mods to change some settings, if you can point me to the area you want to test I can do it
First, I want to find out which layer of the textures is causing the problem.
I would ask you to comment out sections of the elevated-rail.lua file. To do this, you need to put two dashes in front of each line.
You can see the first two sections marked in the following picture.
Please comment out only one single section at a time, save the file and test again to see if the tint disappears.
Of course, it could also be due to several layers, in which case the tint would become lighter.
It may happen that parts of the tracks themselves are no longer displayed, but this is irrelevant, it is only about the tint.
Ok, I’ll try that later today
So, commenting out backplates, ties, and stone_paths create the lightest tint https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/536449239610294304/1325644650098462740/Screenshot_2025-01-05_at_5.49.47_PM.png?ex=677c8a49&is=677b38c9&hm=631f7082977096aee0c8e52020cdf46c43bff76d74750ecdb6ba11d5c9fe0c34&
Trying to comment out the Railings or layers sections throws an error on game load.
So there are several levels involved.
But now comes the point where I don't really know what to do.
First the textures were created in the same way as for the normal tracks, but there is no tint there. --> This tells me that the image files are fine.
Secondly, I do not use a command for a tint.
Finally, I can't find any of the possible commands that I think might have an effect on the phenomenon.
I'm going to think about it for a couple of days and maybe I'll come up with a different idea.

@DrWiFi
Could the Factorio update (version 2.0.34 or higher) solve your problem?
