I noticed that, when you zoom in, you can see biter names as labels in map view even in hidden chunks. You can, of course, see where biters are this way.

I'm sure this could be a limitation of Factorio, and you need to zoom in really close to see the names, but I still thought it would be worth pointing out.

(also this mod is so delightfully cursed, I love it)

Pretty sure that would be a bug with Factorio. There is a render mode parameter we can set to make things show up in map view, but it's a one or the other type thing.

There seems to be no options to show or hide in the fog of war, so I believe that to be an oversight.

When I get the chance, I'll go ahead and make a bug report.

Looks like it's the intentional support of rich text that's causing this :/
I see it as possible that they might put it as "not a bug" and just document this behavior, and in that case I'll put in the effort to make it a map setting.
