You're missing a comma in entity.lua and item.lua.

Just tested on last version of factorio: 0.18.21, the error doesn't happen. Make sure that your game is on latest version.

I'm sure it's fine on the beta, but this error occurs on the latest 0.17.

Fixed in version 0.17.5.
There won't be any new 0.17 versions, game launched without issues in pure vanilla, vanilla + bob's energy, electronics, metals, library.
Further mod compatibilities will be added in 0.18 as it's closing to be "stable"
