I dont know why but if you remove the folder that contains the LICENSE file and still keep the folder that contains (in this case) the "electric-vehicles" the mod will work. I found you also need to do this for the wirelesscharging mod aswel as for the electric vehicles library.
so for clarification, when you download the mod, you have a zip file, in side is a folder called "electric-vehicles_0.3.1" and inside there is a folder called "electric-vehicles". you need to remove the electric-vehicles_0.3.1 but keep the "electric-vehicles".
this proccess needs to be done to the library mod too as wel as the wireless charging mod if you plan on using that.
