Would it be possible to introduce slightly diagonal off-90°shifts to the Close and Far placements to allow inline-belt dropoff lane-choice?
For example, an inserter placed at (0,0) and picks up normally at (0,-0.7),
- Currently: Drops off at (0,0.7) = far or (0,0.3) = close. If inline, the right-lane of belt direction.

- Goal: Drops off at
(-0.3,0.7) = far or (0.3,0.3) = close. If inline, respects belt lane dropoff.

This would not affect side-load placement. Only a slight visual OCD trigger that inserters aren't "perfectly" straight or 90°, but rather 87° and 93°.
No extra controls or Bob's-like placement would be possible with this, it simply allows actual Lane toggle choice for Inline dropoff.
As an Opt-In mod-config, it would give players choice without affecting their saves.
