K2SO playthrough, iron on Fulgora, with deadlock's beltbox and compact loaders mod, recyclers don't break down gears to iron plates? A lot of items are recycling to just deadlock stacking stacked versions of themselves. Listed as the only recycle down to iron plates on Factoriopedia. Oversight? /// EDIT, I didn't see this was the 2.1 specific version here. I am still on 2.0, but any idea?

Hi RaCailum,

Just to clarify, does your second post mean that only that particular comment can be disregarded, or can I disregard the original bug report as well and close the thread?

Just want to make sure I'm not closing an issue that's still relevant. :)

Thanks!

That second comment was a mistake. I am still having the issue :<
Most recyclables are just returning themselves, but stacked. I intend to, later today, uninstall the mod for a minute to see if is THIS mod specificly causing the issue.

Okay, I confirmed the issue is localized to this mod. When I uninstalled it iron gears recycle correctly into iron plates. Copper based cables to copper plates, etc. Before they were recycling into a stack of 5 iron gears and cables respectively.

Hi RaCailum,

Thanks for taking the time to test this and confirm the issue!

I've investigated the recycling behavior, and it looks like you've run into an issue with the older Deadlock stacking recipes interfering with Factorio's automatic recycling recipe generation.

The good news is that this exact type of issue was already addressed in my Factorio 2.1 continuation, starting with version 7.0.9.

I also have to admit, I completely forgot you mentioned that you're still running Factorio 2.0 in your original post, so I was a little confused while investigating this. That one's on me!

Unfortunately, since you're still running Factorio 2.0, that fix isn't available in the older version you're using.

If you eventually upgrade to Factorio 2.1 and encounter the same issue with my latest release, please let me know and I'll gladly investigate further.

Thanks again for reporting it and doing the troubleshooting!

Sounds good. Yeah on my current playthrough the new 2.1 release broke too many of my modloadout, so next run will be 2.1 xD. I'm glad I could help. I'll make due until then. If this can't be helped for now, we can consider this resolved for now!
