Dark Matter Replicators


This mod adds replicators, machines which can produce items using nothing but electricity. Lower tiers of replicators are the most energy efficient and can essentially transform depleted, empty land into a resource. Higher tier replicators can simplify production lines or otherwise act as a convenience. Tier 1 replicators can replace depleted mining drills, allowing your expansion to be for growth rather than necessity.

there was an idea that there would not be all cheaters, it would be good to use electricity besides your electricity in every recipe that replicates.

if i understand what he's trying to say: i think he's suggesting that the specific recipe a replicator is using should determine it's electrical requirement. Not sure if LUA supports this; as far as i know the only way to increase the energy cost is to increase the crafting time....which has already been done.

there is no way for a recipe to have "electricity" as an ingredient.....unless you wanted to get really crazy and create a recipe for an electron. a new machine that costs massive electricity (call it an electron assembler or an electron generator), and uses electricity to create items creatively named "electrons". Then different recipes require different amounts of these----electrons----and the production/gathering of them means that some choice must be made on how to "spend" them. This doesn't exactly solve the "energy=everything i want" issue, but if a similar method were applied to all the base-elements, it could mitigate it somewhat. But....this.....seems like way too much work. lol.
