Chained Recipes

by Yivry

Changes vanilla recipes to be chained a little more: every armor requires the previous one, same for furnaces, power poles, etc.

g Cost additive? or Cost Neutral?

1 year, 7 months ago

I can see that this can make later equipment a bit expensive. (for example I like and use the "Lighted Electric Poles +" mod. BUT that means I am adding the build time and cost of a Lamp to every pole.)

For example the Furnaces. Do you just add the addition of the earlier version? (could make long chains expensive) Or are you subtracting the material cost of the previous from the recipe? (more or less neutral build cost.)

For furnaces it looks like you are. Is this consistent for all the recipes?

Apologies for the late reply, I had missed that my notifications were off.

I tried as hard as possible to be Cost Neutral while still making sense. It wasn't possible in all cases, but the difference is like 1 stone or plate max, both ways. Yes some chains start off with the initial recipe being cheaper and the end recipe still being more expensive. (Looking at you, Circuit Network things.)

Over all I do feel it balances out, this mod was intended to make the recipes more challenging, not more expensive.
