Car/Tank/Spidertron Locator Button (Find / Locate My Lost Car / Car Finder)

by jeff.s

Where DID I leave my car/tank/spidertron/other modded vehicle? This mod adds a tool-belt icon to help you track it down.

b [1.5.0] Created map pings are not clickable

Hi there!

Wonderful mod. really handy in a stretched out megabase.

The bug I noticed is, that when clicking the shortcut, in the List of vehicles, which is written to the chat, the map pings don't do anything. I would have expected, that clicking them would open the map in that specific location, like it does when clicking a map ping, created with CTRL+ALT+LMB (which does work - I checked).

I am playing on Factorio v1.1.2 and I am playing a ComfyRedmew scenario v0.167 ( )where the game happens on a different surface than Nauvis. I have the suspicion, that the different surface might be the cause. There have been other issues with different surfaces in the comfy scenarios ( see ). But I don't know exactly.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think you're right, I think it'll be a problem for any surface other than Nauvis, so that'd also impact mods like Space Exploration (or Factorissimo but if you can't find your car inside a Factorissimo building I don't know what to say)

The Wiki at says I can include the surface in the tag, and that ". When the player is on another surface than surface, clicking the tag does nothing. Mods must handle this case with on_player_clicked_gps_tag" so I will try just adding the surface to the GPS tag to see if that works.

It turns out the fix was indeed that simple, so there's a new version out now on the mod portal that should work! (1.4.2 for Factorio 1.0, or 1.5.2 for Factorio 1.1)

Late but anyways: Thanks for fixing this so fast. I am using the fixed version for 20 days now ;-)
