Thank you for your mods, they fill the gap for players who want some added complexity without going crazy.
This might be just be me but I think that using one intermediate instead two or more plates in a given recipe is more manageable and interesting, things similar to cermet and silicon wafers that you added. Recipes with too many items can feel like a chore sometimes.

While I need to think through the best way to do it, I'll try to add in some more intermediates, including alloys via the Foundry mod.
