g AAI burner lab

right now you need AAI burner lab to make the normal electric lab, but you need to use your burner lab to process steam science. could you merge those two burner labs into one?, like your burner assembling machine, wich is merged with AAI burner assembling machine

I had no idea what would happen with other labs and assembling machines, the fact that the assembling machine is merged and the lab isn't is just coincidence. I could look into it though.

now there's only one burner lab, but AAI's takes over, wich means it doesn't accept steam science, it accepts all others, but not steam one

I am aware of this... he over-writes it in data-final-fixes.

However... try (actually don't) disable the burner electric generator in bobpower... you end up with a cyclic technology prerequisite loop.

I am declaring bob's burner phase to be not compatible with AAI Industry mod. next update of this mod will hold this warning.

The main reason being that he locks the offshore pump behind electricity (it's on basic fluid handling with electricity as a prerequisite), where "steam power" (the steam engine and boiler) are an upgrade from his burner electric generator(on electricity), where my mod instead sees steam as a technology between burner and electricity. my burner electric generator restructures the tech tree to make electricity not require steam power as a prerequisite, as it puts the burner electric generator on the electricity unlock instead of the steam engine, and changes that to be unlocked by steam engine 1, a technology that requires steam power and electricity.

AAI:
Electricity->basic fluid handling->steam power
bobtech with burner generator:
steam power -v
electricity -> steam engine 1
bobtech without burner generator
steam power -> electricity

first and last case:
electricity -> basic fluid handling -> steam power -> electricity = crash.

I don't see a way to "fix it".

It's not exactly something you can just fix, it's a difference in idea, where the two versions of the idea aren't really compatible. His is based on the idea that the offshore pump should require electricity to run, Mine is based on the idea that steam is an earlier technology than electricity.

I'd need to think about this a little more, but unless there's a restructure somewhere, it's not really something you can just fix.

I have an idea, maybe you, or him, could add a burner offshore pump taking over the current electric one

as theres really no incompatibility between your modd and AAI, this should work

A common suggestion on the forum is that the offshore pump requires electricity. a common counterpoint is "Then how do you make electricity to power it?"

the common solution is to keep the original (which isn't possible because he's changing the original, but you can just make another one) that only produces a small amount of water, and have the electric one that gives you a lot.
maybe just enough water to power 1 boiler.

Still, I'll come back to it later.
