Idk if this is possible. When you hover over coal etc, there's a list of "Mined by" entries, 'Burner Mining Drill', 'Electric Mining Drill', 'Electric Mining Drill 2', 3, 4, 5, 'Electric Large Area Mining Drill 1' 2,3,4,5 kinda like here: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?t=125126
Clutters the UI more than I'd like; is it possible to omit the higher tier (2,3,4,5, etc) ones from that list?
