g maps already in use, can be updated automatically?

I've installed all bob's mod in my factorio version 0.14.19.

I want to know if my maps already in use can be updated with new mineral deposits.

If yes, how?
Can I modify manually the map?
The mineral deposits can be spawned in zone of the map not explored before?
