Blueprint Flip and Turn

by NovaM

Mirrors/Flips a blueprint in hand. WARNING: if you are using factorio 1.0 or factorio >= 0.18.37 then you must use the workaround below: - Grab the blueprint from the new blueprint interface - Drop it in the inventory to make a copy. (there is a row of buttons across the top one of has the letter C on it that is the copy button fot the print that is highlighted) - Grab that copy - The flip buttons work on this copy. This issue is not fixable for now, due to Factorio API limitation.

Is this mod abandoned?

I'm working on a related mod which borrows much of the code, and I'm wondering if you'd like to merge improvements or collaborate.

Things I have solved:

  • Train stops and rail signals are adjusted (if possible) to preserve movement direction
  • Rolling stock is flipped
  • Rotation of blueprint is considered (like built-in flip)
  • Flip while holding blueprint book
  • Grid snapping support
  • Tiles and entities stay together

Hello BottleneckDolphin,

I have not played to Factorio for ~4 years and I don't have SpageAge (for now).

Today I released a 2.0 compatible version because it is just a number change.
I already fixed some minor bugs before, without launching Factorio but it is really hard (near impossible) to fix complex bug without launching/playing Factorio.

My "Blueprint Flip and Turn" is also on https://github.com/tst2005factorio/blueprint_flip_and_turn
We can try to find a way to share changes.
We can try to collaborate and if it fail, feel free to fork my mod.

Regards,

So how is this mod going? The only thing annoying me with the stock flipping is the "contains smth that can't be flipped message" even if it is in fact not a problem sometimes. Forces to manually deselect and add in the missing stuff later. Yet again I'm still in my 1.1 IR3 playthrough but still...
