Angel's Extended: Molten Alloy Mixing

by DrakeSD

A big rewrite to Marsonge's fix to Arangas's Alloy Mixing mod. Adds an Alloy Mixer that is used to mix molten metals into alloys directly and now includes a bunch of logic to enable ingot melting of metals that don't have plates enabled. No longer includes remelting.

g Suggestion: Blacklist Some Recipes

Hey i love this mod, it makes sense and is simple. I was hoping, however, maybe you could make a small adjustment.

I noticed that you can make steel with molten iron plus oxygen gas... This logically would not make sense, as it would result in iron-oxide. Maybe this recipe, and others like it (havent noticed any others... yet), could be blacklisted?

Anyways, thanks for creating and maintaining this mod, i personally really appreciate it!

Another couple recipes you might want to disable are the "120x molten iron + 120x molten silicon = 240x molten iron" recipe. That, and possibly the "120x molten iron + 120x molten manganese = 240x molten iron" recipe as well.

Essentially, these recipes could allow the player to make infinite molten iron if they have a large supply of silicon/manganese.

Maybe instead of disabling them, maybe possibly have their recipes create ingots directly, which would still allow the recipes, but stop the player from essentially converting manganese/silicon to iron.

Thanks for the feedback!

So, the main reason these recipes exist is because I create an equivalent molten recipe for every base Angel's ingot recipe. In Angel's Smelting, iron ingots + oxygen gas = steel ingots. This is a reference to the Bessemer process, which does use forced air in the making of steel.

On the topic of the recursive recipes, I did go back and forth on whether or not these should be included. I did strongly consider having all these alloying recipes require ingots so you couldn't loop them, but ultimately left them in but disabled productivity modules to offer a tradeoff. I'll likely revisit that decision when Angel's updates to Space Age.
