g Compatibility Issue

Having a compatibility issue with configurable beacons mod. Seems to override all the Configurable Beacons Mod settings.
Also, the Mini-Machines mod apparently uses a different icon because the icon in storage or backpack is blank. As above, the # of module slots are overridden

You can disable the use standard beacons startup setting to let other mods change the standard vanilla beacons. As for beacons from Mini Machines, the rebalance other beacons setting affects those so you could disable it as well if you prefer the original stats.

I've published an updated version which fixes the icon issues. I also realized the rebalanced mini beacons were still using the old efficiency values so that was addressed in the update as well.

I have disabled standard beacons and rebalance other beacons and it is still overwriting number of module slots from Configurable Beacons and forcing it to 2 slots. Icon is fixed.

I haven't been able to replicate this. It looks like the tooltip still says 2 slots for vanilla beacons, but the actual beacon count reflects the changes made via Configurable Beacons. Is the tooltip what you were referring to?

I will need to reorganize how the extended descriptions get updated to fix the tooltip issue so that'll take longer to fix than usual. In the meantime, there's a startup setting for it as well if it becomes too much of an annoyance.

No, the standard vanilla beacon does show the correct number of slots, but the mini-beacon-1 from the mini-machines mod still only has the standard 2 module slots. So it is still overwriting the mini-machine mod settings.

The mini-beacon-1 from mini-machines normally only has 1 module slot unless you disable the Mini Machines Module Reduction startup setting, in which case it'll have 2 module slots. How many slots are you expecting it to have? The Configurable Beacons mod only applies to the vanilla beacons if that's what you're talking about.

Actually it does apply to the mini-beacon-1 from mini-machines. If I could post a screen shot, I'd show you that it has the 10 module slots I have configured in the Confiurable Beacons mod. It is only when I enable Alternative Beacons that it reduces the number of slots back to 2 (disabled module reduction in startup). The 5Dims New Module functions correctly and has 10 slots, so it is something in Alternative Beacons. And if you can't fix it, that's fine, just wanted you to know about the issue.

A follow up: I also just noticed that Alternative Beacons is changing the name of mini-beacon from Mini Beacon to Mini Standard Beacon. Hopefully this link works https://www.flickr.com/photos/201857873@N05/albums/72177720322192983 and you can see the differences. You can't see it in the image but Alternative Beacons has also reset the efficiency reduction from the 2 specified in Configurable Beacons down to 1.5.

Oh. I see the problem now. I recall being relieved when I originally got compatibility for Mini Machines working, but it seems the solution wasn't as good as I thought at the time. I think I could redo the compatibility system to address this. It'll take some time, though. It'd potentially make compatibility maintenance simpler going forward, too.

From my perspective, I don't really care as I am using the 5Dim New Module mod now. I wish that someone would take over and redo the Tarawinds Beacons. LOL. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
