Currently only vanilla is supported yes - or of course with mods that don't change too much from vanilla - otherwise balance might be definitely off.
But like written in the info page, I might add support for overhaul mods in the future if people enjoy the idea.

note that this is soft-compatible with SE; the science packs remain close enough, it just makes recipes 4+ a little later-game as a result of what packs got moved around
