g Why disable spoilage?

Pelagos is build around few things including decomposition processes, and has a lot of paralels with gleba.
Disabling spoilage in science pack is fundamentaly against it's theme and design

I understand where you're coming from, and ultimately on a design level I agree with you. However for myself personally I don't enjoy spoilage "spilling out" of planets like with Agricultural or Decomposition science packs. At the end its a config, one I should probably default to "don't disable spoilage," but one that helps me enjoy the pack and mod more :)

If you do the same for Agri one then its fine i guess.
I thought that might be balancing issue

Pelagos Science pack has extra spoiling time because recipe is a bit harder and planet is further away than gleba

I changed the default in the latest update. I didn't do agri science because it already existed elsewhere: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/some-gleba-science
I updated the description of my mod to point to that and mention that the config is meant to be used with that

Something I want to try and do in the future is scale the spoil time of both your science and agri science based on the distance to Nauvis, since in the all planets modpack (especially with a variety of space map modifying mods) the distance can get difficult, I will probably put that in this mod as well though once I have some time to do it

Thanks. I appreciate change of defaults.
With context of changed starmap this toggle makes much more sense.
Changed interstelar distance might cause issues. I did not thought about it. I generally tend to just avoid mods that change map locations and connections. I feel like they do it without deeper thought, and because of that things like spoil time might be an issue.
By default I have 1 space connection to be 100% sure people who visit pelagos know gleba. It is very frontloaded in terms of mechanics, and just expect you to know gleba before landing. And all space connection mods tend to just kinda ignore that as well.

If you find something wierd with mod itself, or something lacking then just ping me on mod portal or discord. I like feedback even if I tend to disagree a lot with people.
