All Music Everywhere 2.1

Hear music from every detected vanilla and supported modded planet wherever you build

This experimental Factorio 2.1 mod combines ordinary ambient tracks into one global music pool. Music is balanced by its original source planet, so a planet with a larger soundtrack does not overwhelm planets with fewer tracks

Features

  • Makes detected planet music available on every planet
  • Provides compatible music prototypes for space platforms and the space map
  • Gives every represented source planet approximately the same total selection chance
  • Converts hero tracks and interludes into the common ambient pool
  • Preserves Factorio's recent-track avoidance
  • Supports /ame-next to skip to another track while avoiding the eight most recently heard tracks when possible
  • Supports /ame-track to display the current ambient-sound prototype
  • Shows silent [AllMusic] now-playing messages and records track changes in factorio-current.log
  • Leaves menu music and script-controlled tracks unchanged

Compatibility

Designed for Factorio 2.1 experimental and compatible with Space Age

Tested with:

  • PlanetsLib
  • Any Planet Start
  • Muluna
  • Rabbasca and Rabbasca Underground
  • Rubia and Rubia Minus Memes

Additional planet mods may work when their music prototypes are loaded before this mod

Commands

  • /ame-track shows the current track
  • /ame-next fades to another track from the source-balanced pool
