Alien Biomes is under a Limited Distribution Only License. You are breaking that by posting a publicly available version, with no credit as well. Please remove this mod from the portal.

This isn't a repost of Alien biomes tho? This mod does exactly what it says it does, and that is changing this setting to enabled like this

settings.startup["alien-biomes-remove-obsolete-tiles"].value = "Enabled"

(isn't really a mod that's necessarily needs to exist tho, but we humans are lazy I guess)
also If Licenses works the way you make it sound, then every mod that modifies a setting in another mod would break that license...
The mod Alien Biomes also isn't 1,77kB, although it would be quite literally amazing if someone could compress something that much.

yeah, there's no license violation. we had a short chat in the alien biomes discord and confirmed that it was not in violation of the license.

Apologies for any confusion, but as pointed out this is purely a settings change to force a specific startup setting in Alien Biomes.

I'm helping manage a multiplayer server with friends and when adding a requested mod we went over the 255 internal limit for tiles. While there are helpful startup settings to reduce some of the tile overhead like the specific Alien Biomes setting forced here, we found that unfortunately mod startup settings do not synchronize at the same time as the mod list so anyone joining the server for the first time wouldn't be able to load into the game without running into tile limit error.

While certainly not ideal and not what I would have done for personal use, this has effectively helped avoid the chicken and egg problem with mod list and mod settings by effectively ignoring the relevant startup setting
