I'd like to be able to set up (for pollution management purposes) an agri tower that plants wood trees, and only harvests them (and replants) when they die.
It seems to me this mod doesn't quite support that, but it's very close.
Is there a feature you'd be willing to add, or a different mod you can recommend, that would support this use case?
Thanks for the suggestion. What you are requesting is actually quite different to what the mod is already doing, selectively harvesting is a bit more complicated than disable all harvesting.
I think your use case is legitimate, but it's quite hard to do with good performance. Such an option also doesn't have much of a value to be controlled by circuit, whereas this mod is about extending circuit capabilities. It would better be another mod, but I not passionate enough about it to be willing to write one.
Just throwing out an idea: In this use case, you probably don't care about the wood you get. So instead of disallowing agricultural towers to harvest live trees, a simpler approach for a mod would be to just delete any tree when it dies. The agricultural tower would be used only for planting, where harvesting can be disabled by manually inserting items in the output slot, without the need for this mod.
