Radioactive glass is the true nuclear "waste". It's the result of my strict adherence to conservation principles in my model that ultimately results in a certain amount of mass that is unusable. In real life, some of it could be used to make medical equipment source particles and stuff. I think we're going to add a recipe to make text plates from it, an extension to the Text Plate mod. For now it really does just fill up boxes. Any other ideas what to do with it? It can be used as a radioactive source, so, I do have the thought to use it as an ingredient in future recipes in the production reactor, but I don't have anything to make in there, yet, either.
Pu238 is basically only good for making heat. Right now, my Contraptions mod offers the ability to make fuel-less equipment generators from it, and they are slightly more energy dense than the vanilla fusion generator. So that's a sort of "end game" item. I think we should also make a heat generator from it, and that's on the drawing board. I had hoped others would also use it in their recipes, and that may happen, e.g. a recent discussion on the forum, and if you want to make anything, the power output in the equipment generator is set to the amount of power a unit of Pu238 should give off (given some theoretical upper limits of thermocouple efficiencies; I think it's set to 20%). I can compute any other power values you might need from my excel spreadsheet, so don't hesitate to ask.
