If the only reason this mod exists is to fix a bug that makes engines craftable, it can be done with only a few lines of code. Forking the entire thing is not really requiered.

i was also going to modify AAI programmable vehicles but its using funny bad license which i cannot modify, ill look into event disconnection to allow turret creep

That one I think you're SOOL on, there is very little a mod can do to another mod's control stage stuff that it does not explicitly permit
