You write "Should be paired with early game equipment mods". Could you please list them or even better add them as optional dependencies to your info.json?

this mod should basically be able to go with any mod. its not complex enough to clash with any other mod and has countermeasures to ensure compatibility.
I will add that it is compatible with basically any mod although if that mod changes the armor size for the first 2 it will (most likely) alter them unless they add this mod as an optional dependency
