I literally laughed for "pentapod anus". But that pentapod "crater" is really what stands out for Gleba.

Hmm. I could render 4k but I think that would be really pushing the engine, and I don't know LUA and factorio modding enough to implement a switcher.

If you publish your code somewhere (github, bitbucket etc.), I can send a pull request and help you out.

Here is a sample switcher for 2K and 144p for Nauvis. In the "mod settings" section, choose your resolution. You can see how file names are edited out: https://github.com/az3/factorio-visible-planets-settings/releases/download/1.0.0/YAPR_1.0.3.zip

Thanks!! You're amazing! I created the shattered planet graphic today and will rerender everything at 4k and implement your switcher. You're awesome dude. I'll look into github next week or so. Never really learned to use it, but I guess it's about time that I do.

Somehow this seems to have less obvious artifacting and blurriness than the other high res planet mods, but 4k would be cool. I already spend so much time now idling and staring at my space platforms without getting anything done.

The planet rotation in Visible Planets looks pretty nice (though maybe still not realistic) if you just lower the speed to something sane, like .004.
