The wire get consumed and you need to reclick on the shortcut.
Might be caused to an other mod but adjusting stack size to 2 or more.

that is incentive to actually make wires,or if you really want a free wire mod you better check out original WireShortcuts.

ha a setting to ajust the stack size would be nice 10 looks like a good amount to spawn.

fine,it is updated,now you can adjust how much free wire you got.

Just find out. you can adjust wire_count to 0 and no wire are consumed.

data.raw.item["red-wire"].wire_count = 0
data.raw.item["green-wire"].wire_count = 0

original WireShortcuts is not the best. no need to change recipe or unlock technology .Shortcut and free wire is all you need. its vanilla friendly.

tho I am still making it a setting(because I still have mod developing that makes red wire super expensive so you have single wire challange or some sort in early game)
