So i really like how the mod plays out but there are a few things I think are a bit off

  1. Nuclear fuel: High entropic conjuration (random bullsh*t machine) gives out nuclear fuel which is a problem because it only stacks to 1 and its not really used for much expect for trains. I would suggest adding something that eats it or makes a different stackable fuel.

  2. primordial voidforge: P-forges would be a good use of the nuclear fuel expect they use fuel cells, I suggest adding nuclear fuel to the list.
Also the cost of making one is extremely expensive with 1 nuclear reactor for 2. I would suggest at least making this 5~10 because right now its 250 copper, steel, red chip and concrete + everything else for 1, changing it to 5 would at least be 100/per.

  3. Petroleum gas: With the outputs of flux refining you get petro but you really don't have any uses for it. You can get solid fuel but most of your power comes from nuclear, plastic which you don't really need, sulfur which you only need a tiny bit.
Normally you would be changing petro into plastic but plastic would be for making red chips but you can summon them easily enough without needing to eat though copper and green chips. I suggest having a way to change it into infusion or something that has a constant use or remove it from the flux refining recipe.

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the mod.

  1. For Voidcraft 1.5, I'm definitely going to be taking a look at the two entropic conjuration recipes. They're definitely fun, but always not the most useful or practical. I'll be revising these recipes, though I'll also include settings to maintain the current recipes for those who prefer them.

  2. Primordial voidforges might still be a bit expensive, too. It's also something that is probably worth a second look for 1.5. I could also make this a setting.

  3. There are a lot of uses for petroleum gas. You can make it into plastic, sulfur, or solid fuel, which you can then make into rocket fuel or just burn it. Worst case, you can purge the tanks. Making creative use of random byproducts is part of the fun of Voidcraft so I don't plan on changing this recipe.

Sounds good,

  1. The recipe really helped bootstrap nuclear fuel rods and power new planet island with the rocket fuel/nuclear fuel. So it would be interesting to see how you will change it.
  2. What is your thoughts about adding nuclear fuel?
  3. on the petroleum point, mostly I am just asking for another voidy product that can consume it as an alternative recipe

For the primordial voidforge, I suggest that instead of requiring a nuclear reactor, even if it makes 10 voidforges, to use the same materials as the reactor, but scaled down to the power consumption of the voidforge.

A nuclear reactor consume 40 MW while a voidforge consumes 2.5 MW, or 16x less power.
The nuclear reactor needs 500 Copper, Steel, Red Circuits, and Concrete.
Scaling it down (500/16) gives us ~31.25 of each material, which we could round up to 32.
I don't know about you, but that seems a lot more reasonable to me.

Or, y'know, just cut out the reactor entirely. The Exalted Voidwork only need 10 Orichalum plates and a Greater Voidwork. Even without the nuclear reactor it looks cheaper than the Primordial Voidforge.

part of me thinks about doing this with a belt which will be annoying to have reactors on it, the other part of me thinks about doing it with bot while saying "that's fine"

What is your thoughts about adding nuclear fuel?

It isn't really doable, unfortunately. The modding interface only supports fuel categories, rather than individual fuels. The nuclear fuel made from rocket fuel is a chemical fuel, not a nuclear fuel (despite the name!) so it can't normally be used in nuclear reactors or primordial voidforges. To allow primordial voidforges to burn nuclear fuel I'd have to allow the whole chemical fuel category, meaning you could also burn coal in them... and I'd rather not do that.
