Though could you make it so that this is a researchable upgrade instead of an auto applied one?
Also while at that, could you add a research upgrade for robot batteries?

It's kind of silly from the base game to allow infinite speed research for them but not even offer a single upgrade for their batteries -_-

Making it researchable requires a dirty hack with entity swaps.
There's another mod doing that, I don't see the benefit of always having overhead to add a one time research anyone installing this mod will research anyway.
