b Remote View Triggers Drones

Whenever I look at a remote part of my base, across the map, to see biters destroying the walls. The drones will leave my player and then march across the entire map to repair the walls. Is this intended behavior? I am also not sure, but it also seems like the drones are spawning in the remote view too? Maybe a check is missing to only spawn the drones for jobs around the entity that contains the drones.

I mean it can be helpful in repairing the walls a little bit... It would be nice if there was at least a setting for the max range the bots can navigate away from the source. There are even some scenarios where the bots navigate really far from the player to get around my wall. Setting a max navigation distance would help mitigate that (would be a good setting). Though I understand you may not know how far the bots need to travel to arrive at a location until they get there, so just a standard distance check would suffice.

I'm experiencing this bug as well. It's more frustrating than anything. I want to look at another part of my base through the map view, and all the little drones rush all the way across the map to do an errand. There should definitely be an option to limit their range from the player.

This happens between planets as well, causing a crash.

They straight up teleport to the mapview it seem. It however does provide an incentive to upgradeto construction bot later on.

What technically happens is that the drones are missing the check if the player avatar is active or not. The remote view works by turning your avatar off and placing you wherever the map is pointing. Same as with entering a vehicle.
