Is there any way you can remove the hard dependency on the transport drones fork? I use transport drones continued https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Transport_Drones_Continued?from=updated
Continued version has the ability to select what fuel the drones use, but I can't run continued with your mod because it force enables the forked version of transport drones.
