The request depos can't request smelted rare metals (the colorful ones), making my drone-based base nonfunctional since most mid-late game production chains require them. There just isn't an option to request them to be delivered.
Had the same problem but found a solution:
When you set the current recipe in the request depot, search for "metal" via the search function. Then you can select the smelted rare metals.
