It seems like road tiles build by construction drones (another Klonan mod :-) behave like a different type of tiles.
Try the following: Build some road tiles manually. Copy them, paste them somewhere close but not connected. Now build some tiles manually and connect the two areas. Also try to build a supply or request station.
Also, if you pick up / mine the tiles, the copied ones return as stone brickes, while the manually built ones return as road bricks.
