Anyway, i'd like to know if this affect in someway the pathfindig algorythm:
In parricular, does a train prefer a limitless track to a limited one in the time of choosing its own path to the next station?

It doesn't affect the default path selection algorithm. As far as I know there's no easy way to actually achieve that with Factorio API. I will inspect the issue in few days, when I will have some more time, but I think it's not possible right now.
