First of all: this mod is great! Playing with AAI is cool and all, but I really wanted some "cheap infantry" in Factorio ^^
Anyway, am I missing some hidden mechanic or is there actually no way to limit how much units any deployer can produce, besides circuit-based resource input limit workaround?

As suggested in other threads, separating production and deployment similar to how vanilla bots or AAI vehicles do it would really solve a lot of problems - even if deployer has no circuit capabilities it wouldn't matter, since we can just program inserter between factory-deployer.
