Hello, sorry for bothering you, but I'd like to notice you what I think is a bug, the super heater output steam is locked at 40/s instead of the maximum of 60/s.
I tried multiple configuration, like more 165 boilers and stuff but nothing does and the super heater output is still at 40/s.
(I tried the same setup of the mod's screenshot and I have only 14.4 MW in energy production instead of 21.6 MW.)
I note that the mod have it's default configurations.

Thank you in advance.

PS: Also, sorry if I miss or misunderstand something.

Edit:
It's the same for the quality one (if you have the quality enabled), the output is less than expected:
- Unncomon: 52/s instead of 78/s
- Rare: 64/s instead of 96/s
- Epic: 76/s instead of 114/s
- Legendary: 100/s instead of 150/s

Strange, I can't work it out either. I think this might be a Factorio 2.0 bug, I will keep investigating

Thanks.
And I think so, I tested the mod alone only without the DLC and any mods and it's the same result.

I've added a setting to allow superheaters to work without the boiler, heating from cold water to 465°C in a single stage at 150% efficiency, so the same fuel cost and power output that the boiler+superheater combo is supposed to have. I'll leave it in even after the Factorio bug gets fixed as some people may prefer it.

I'll try this when I'm back on my computer, but yea, I prefer the initial idea to be honest ~
And thanks!

Hi, I'm having this same issue where I'm only getting 2/3 of the output at every tier. Would a potentially temporary work around be to buff the tiers to accommodate this loss? Maybe there could be a mod setting to enable/disable this buff or change the buff value. Just a thought, idk how difficult that would be to implement.

edit: also using the mod rate calculator, it shows the superheater consuming steam at 60/s but only outputting steam at 40/s - not sure if that helps troubleshooting

Yeah this is due to a current bug in Factorio, boiler consumption/output calculations seem to be partially ignoring input temperature or something along those lines.

The workaround until this is fixed is to enable Single-stage superheaters in the mod startup options, which will make superheaters take in cold water and output 465°C steam (and use 3.6 MW of fuel).

Hey sorry to necro this old thread, but did this ever get addressed by one of the more recent patches?

Apparently this did get fixed 2 months ago: https://forums.factorio.com/130021
