This mod now makes it possible to consume stacked science to perform research on Infinite Tech's.

Tested and working 100% with Vanilla. Modded Infinite Tech's may work, it depends on a number of things. If you find something and would like me to take a look when I have the time, shoot me a message and I will see what I can do.
