b RESOLVED - Loading Issue

1 year, 11 months ago
(updated 1 year, 11 months ago)

Encountered a loading issue with realistic reactors with this new version of smooth fluids, didn't display issue notice, just froze upon loading smooth fluids in loading screen.

When you have the time can you look into this issue?

Floating points attack again, yay.
Fixed in 1.1.1, thanks.

New possible bug,

Oil processing (refinery) items reverted back to default crafting times since latest bugfix update.

huh? with which mods? both vanilla + SF, and also with mentioned Realistic Reactors everything seems to work for me.

Brimestuff by planetfall

ah, yes, BrimStuff adds sulfur to the output, making it non-divisable.

however, it is with 50% probabilty, and this made me think that i could hypothetically support such recipes by dividing the probablility (or setting a probabilty if one isn't set) if i can't divide the actual product, but that's something for the future. and it may spaghettify the code, so i'm not sure about that.

It worked just fine with this before, not entirely sure why it changed back to default (if it wasn't the recent bugfix)

1 year, 1 month ago

uh, i don't know what you mean.
i was about to write that it was probably a bug, and that BrimStuff added the sulfur to the recipe after my mod has smoothed it already, resulting in an incorrect ratio of products, but i decided to check it with the previous version of SF (v1.2.0), and the latest BrimStuff version executes before it, and then SF notices the added sulfur and refuses to smooth it, just like in the newest version.
could you provide more information about how it worked before? what were the exact working ingredients/products? exact SF, BrimStuff, and probably other mods' versions?

I only noticed the change yesterday afternoon, before this change (whatever it was) the other day it still smoothed out (0.2s vs 5s) the oil processing even with brimestuff adding the sulfur to the outputs with a 50% probability. The ingredients for the petroleum gas recipe were 4 oil 2 water/ 0.2s still with that 50% for sulfur.

Smooth Fluids (v1.3.0)

In theory, other mods could alter the order in which SF and Brimestuff are loaded through dependencies between them...
If that happened, old SF 1.2 would load in updates before Brimestuff, but SF 1.3 does its thing in final fixes, so always after the addition of sulfur...
