I've been working on it. Most of my mods have been a simple version bump. 1.1 changes collision masks so this will take some consideration and testing.
Re: Serious: Searious is 100% vanilla. It only changes the map generation. There are no new recipes for generating ores from water. Patches of ores exist above water and can be reached via landfill and mined like normal. This doesn't mean you have to play vanilla, but this does make it compatible with most mods.
